We were in Biloxi Mississippi this past weekend for the Cruisin the Coast Car Rally. It was the 10 year anniversary, well actually it has been 11 years since the first, but Hurricane Katrina caused a cancellation last year. I was very happy with the number of cars that showed up. Not nearly as many as pre Katrina but still a good number of cars. This rally is so much fun. I would guess about 2000 antique cars converged on the Gulf Coast and just cruised up and down Beach Boulevard all day long. At night there is live entertainment, some of them in the casinos, some at bandstands set up along the cruise route and even some set up in trailers as makeshift dj's in parking lots. I just love looking at all the old cars and the awesome paint jobs. Russ and my son, Matt, volunteered to be part of a tv program that was being filmed. Our car will be one of the many featured. Russ was interviewed by the host. The only drawback is we don't catch the channel it will be airing on. Oh well, I have pictures and they will be sending us a copy of the show. Here are some more pictures of the cars we encountered.
A fine glittery paint job. Talk about shine......
I like the red cars... I don't even know what make and model this is....
Pretty Little Stang
This is just too sick. This is what is sitting in the passenger seat of one of the cars.
