Merry Christmas to Everyone

Christmas is finally here........ I have presents under the tree and I am enjoying my morning coffee and reading emails, just waiting for my son to wake up. This is the first Christmas in a long time I will not be spending the morning with my son, Jake. He is all grown up and has moved out. It was hard at first, but now its okay. We are having a quite day today. Last night our family came over to spend the evening. We had a really good time. I baked and cooked all day Saturday and Sunday to prepare the food. Our menu was just good old snacking foods. We had sausage in bbq sauce, sausage cheese balls, spinach filled pasta with a tomato pesto, Rotel/cheese/shrimp dip and a meat and cheese tray for sandwiches. I also baked cookies, made peanut butter bon bons, fudge, and chex mix, both the sweet and the hot kinds. I made wassil, my children love this new tradition I started a few years back. All and all everyone had a great time. We also exchanged presents with Russ' children and our grandbaby. That's him up top. His first Christmas he racked up at our house. We made him a beautiful toy box and bought him several other things. He loves to open presents so I made sure to wrap a bunch for him. Merry Christmas and May God bless....
